According to a statement, EFCC received intelligent reports on the three suspects who used proceeds from the fraud to acquire different properties such as cars which include a GLK Mercedes Benz Jeep, a Toyota Corolla, amongst others.
Based on the reports, the activities of the suspects were monitored by operatives of the antigraft agency and they were nabbed.
Several laptops of different makes, very expensive mobile phones, modems, many Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards and others were recovered.
In like manner, just recently, the southeast zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested three suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu. Oluka said that the suspects, including the wife of them, were arrested in their homes at Independence Layout, Enugu, following intelligence reports.
